Do Irlandii wylecieliśmy 3 czerwca z lotniska w Modlinie. Lądowanie miało miejsce na położonym w południowo-zachodniej części wysypy mieście Shannon skąd zostaliśmy odebrani prywatną taksówkę, którą następnie przetransportowała nas na oddaloną o jakieś 3h od lotniska wyspę Valentia w hrabstwie Kerry. Na miejsce dotarliśmy około godziny 1:30 (w Polsce 2:30) zatrzymując się na noc w malutkim i pięknym hoteliku Shealane Country House (Położonym, na oko jakieś 500 m od wioski rybackiej Portmagee) .
